When: 2000 - 1600 B.C.
Where: Island of Crete
What: A Bronze Age civilization that was rediscovered at the beginning of the 20th century by Sir Arthur Evans.
  • They worshipped the bull (most powerful of all deities)
  • They were a friendly people
  • They left frescos on the walls
  • Their architecture was the post and lintel
  • Language: Linear A - comes from the Phaistos or Phaestos Disc
